State Sponsored Visa - 176

The 176 State Sponsored skilled visa is a points-based application. To qualify for the 176 visa, you must first meet basic requirements around your age, English competence, training and work experience. 

The 176 visa requires sponsorship by an Australian state or territory that has your skilled occupation on its demand list. Each state has different lists for the 176 visa and lists are regularly updated. The 176 visa is a three year visa. You must live and work in the state that is sponsoring you on the 176 visa for three years. Once you have lived for two years (and worked for 12 months) on your 176 visa, you are eligible to live in another state.
